What We Do

Virginia Panel Corporation designs, manufactures and markets Interface Connector products for commercial, military, telecommunications, aerospace, medical, automotive, and consumer electronic applications. Virginia Panel Corporation is equipped with the latest technology for manufacturing interface systems. Successful affiliations with major government defense contractors attest to VPC’s ability to perform well under strictly regulated guidelines. Our personnel are highly trained and motivated with one goal in mind—to provide the customer with the most advanced, high quality connector interface available in the market.

History

Virginia Panel Corporation was founded in 1959 as a licensee of International Business Machines (IBM) to manufacture and distribute programmable patch panels for computers. The patch panel established our Interface Connector product line, which is used in Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). As connector needs for the test and measurement industry have evolved, so has Virginia Panel Corporation.

improvement, and exceptional value. We are an ISO 9001:2008 certified business, reinforcing VPC’s dedication to operating a Quality Management System. VPC complies with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards for cable assemblies. In addition, all VPC solderers are certified to J-STD-001.

The VPC Quality Assurance Lab conducts tests for point to point continuity, shorts, and insulation resistance to ensure the final product meets both your and VPC’s high quality standards. The QA Lab’s automated equipment includes both DIT-MCO and Cirris cable testers. In addition, VPC’s network analyzer tests the

electrical response of RF cables to a specified frequency range.
